Bellota Agrisolutions obtains the EFQM Gold Q for management excellence

DECEMBER 13, 2012

In 2012, Bellota Agrisolutions was awarded the EFQM Gold Q, the highest recognition for management excellence granted by Euskalit, based on the EFQM Excellence Model (European Foundation for Quality Management). This distinction placed the company among the organisations with the most advanced management systems in the Basque Country and the European context.

The EFQM Gold Q is awarded exclusively to organisations that achieve more than 500 points in the EFQM assessment, a highly demanding threshold that certifies organisational maturity, strategic coherence and sustainable results.

What does the EFQM Gold Q represent?

The Gold Q recognises organisations that demonstrate:

  • Strong and consistent leadership
  • A clear and well-deployed strategy
  • Advanced people and process management
  • A strong customer focus
  • Proven and sustainable results over time

Unlike other certifications, the EFQM model assesses the organisation as a whole, which makes the Gold Q one of the most rigorous and prestigious recognitions in management excellence.

A recognition achieved by very few Basque companies

Since the launch of EFQM recognitions in the Basque Country, only around 30 organisations have achieved the EFQM Gold Q. This limited number highlights the exclusive and highly selective nature of the award.

Being part of this group positions Bellota Agrisolutions among the benchmark organisations in management excellence at regional, national and European level.

A milestone in a journey of continuous improvement

The achievement of the Gold Q in 2012 was the result of a long-term process of continuous improvement, based on self-assessment, systematic review of management practices and organisation-wide involvement.

The official award ceremony took place on 18 December 2012 at the Kursaal Conference Centre in San Sebastián, during the annual Euskalit recognition event.
