Kverneland Skimmer Mouldboards
Skimmer mouldboards are a key component in some types of ploughs, especially in regions with high humidity. Their main function is to improve grass control and facilitate the complete burial of surface stubble.
In practical terms, the skimmer helps to cut and turn the soil more efficiently, ensuring that residues from previous crops are well incorporated into the earth. This is especially useful for maintaining soil quality and preventing the proliferation of unwanted weeds.

Skimmer Points
Skimmer points fulfil a key function in the mouldboard plough. Their main purpose is to cut a surface band of soil and deposit it at the bottom of the furrow, which facilitates the incorporation of crop residues and improves soil aeration.These points help to optimise soil turning, ensuring that remains from previous crops are well buried for decomposition under anaerobic conditions. Furthermore, they contribute to the circulation of rainwater towards deeper layers, favouring soil structure and fertility.
